So it’s been 4 months since I started my Skeptic Yogi Adventures. Since then I’ve started:
• a daily practice of bite size yoga (10 to 20 min. sessions) along with full length practices at least twice a week
• a daily meditation practice of at least 10 min. per session (sometimes twice daily if the mood and opportunity strikes me)
• I’ve read a sloth of books that have inspired creativity and introspection
• I’ve started training with Eric Maisel, a luminary in the field of creativity on Creativity Coaching.
So although I’ve been a very busy girl, I’ve also become a lot more than that. I’ve started to listen to myself carefully and even more, I’ve begun to trust what my true self is saying.
If you’ve been reading my posts, you’ve probably noticed a great deal of introspection and reflection on how to think, behave, and posture yourself to become the best person you can be. I say with the greatest sincerity that I’ve definitely grown and expanded my vision of the future since embarking on this path and practicing what I preach.
And so the big news….
I’ve decided to leave my corporate job in the spring. This is a sacrifice of not only a steady paycheck, but also my work visa that keeps me here in the USA. This is a HUGE life change for me, but the decision was actually very easy to make because it was the right choice without question.
I believe I’ve taken my current career path as far as it can go; there is a fork in the road, and its time to take a brave left hand turn and start following some passions that I’ve left dormant far too long. I’m supremely confident that there is something more out there for me beyond the confines of my 3 x 3 ft cube, and I’m off to find out what that is.
So let the real adventures begin! As of Feb 29th, 2008 you’re going to be reading a lot about my hip and soul seeking adventures starting in March. The journey kicks off at an ashram in India with an intensive immersion into my passion for yoga, mediation and creative expression.
From there…. Well you’ll just have to stick around and find out!
