So great to have you here! I’m Caren, and I’m the creator of The Fit Habit. I’ve been teaching fitness & wellness since 2008. It started with an adventure to India to do a yoga teacher training and snowballed from there. My purpose is simple – to help women over 40 be well, get fit and prevent or recover from burnout through simple nutrition, fitness and mindset (<-honestly, this is the biggest step in seeing results).

Simple Low Carb Recipes (mostly plant-based, but not always)
My motto is simple to make or forget it. Are you with me? All my recipes are carb-conscious, sugar-free and mostly plant-based, too. So if weight loss or increased energy is your goal, there’s nothing on this website that’s off limits.
Fitness + Yoga that’s completely doable
I’m all about fitness that feels good and I don’t buy the whole “no pain, no gain” philosophy. I strongly advocate for fitness programs you can do from home since my readers tend to have busy lives with little time for workouts.
Mindset, habits and releasing limiting beliefs
Beyond food and fitness, I also talk about mindset, habits and working through limiting beliefs and past traumas that hold you back from loving yourself. That’s what’s helped me go from a 200lb couch potato in my early 20’s to a fitness coach in my 40’s. A health journey has to start between your ears, don’t you think?
But how do I actually help?
I work with clients remotely, either 1-1 coaching or small groups. My clients are women, mostly over 40 and they’re always over-scheduled and over-committed. I help by coaching them to prioritize their health habits, help them work through the effects of burnout and keep them accountable to reach their personal goals.
