    And the Best Beachbody Workout for Weight Loss in 2024 Is…

    It’s been a minute since I’ve done a proper deep dive on BODi (formerly known as Beachbody) workouts, so I'm pumped to share my thoughts on the best BODi program for weight loss in 2024.

    First off, am I still doing them? 100% yes.

    My husband bought a “couples” gym membership two years ago and I’ve used it once. I just love the comfort and ease of working out at home. Getting my butt to the gym is just not going to work for this homebody.

    Curious how BODi different than Beachbody?

    In case you haven't heard, the brand has changed (for the better IMO). The biggest change has been the introduction of "BODi Blocks," which are simple, sustainable, and effective workouts that help you reach your fitness goals without having to commit to a long program (AMEN TO THAT). I don’t know about you, but as someone with ADHD, my attention span doesn’t last 12 weeks. I need to mix things up, so this was a Godsend product improvement.

    All BODi Blocks consists of five workouts a week for three weeks, followed by an optional recovery and reset week where the intensity comes down. BODi Blocks are designed for "Periodization", meaning, the workouts get progressively harder week over week, with the added rest week at the end. This ensures you're always challenged but not overtrained.

    So, What’s BODi's Best Workouts for Weight Loss in 2024?

    Now let’s get to the new releases and answer the burning question of which one is best for weight loss in 2024.

    Well, the short answer is that weight loss (or technically fat loss) is achieved through nutritional changes more than exercise. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if your goal is fat loss, start with 2B Mindset which is a really doable nutrition program.

    But if you want to accelerate fat loss and change the way your body looks and feels, then I recommend pairing 2B Mindset with one of the following workouts.

    Let’s get into it.

    3 Day Split by Autumn Calabrese

    Autumn Calabrese's "3 Day Split" is probably going to top my list for body transformation success. Why? Because her routines are generally strength focused, with an emphasis on higher reps and sets. So it’s not optimized for muscle growth, but rather, for fat burning and muscle endurance. (So, general fitness/leanness rather than a muscle bulk).

    The 3-day split is a new approach for BODi, as their programs are typically a 5 to 7 day a week. The routine consists of 30-50 minute workouts just three days a week for four weeks. There are 12 workouts in total, and like I mentioned, the focus is on building strength, lean muscle, & cardio, with the goal of overall weight loss and muscle definition (without the bulk).

    What you’ll need for this program - a set of dumbbells - light, medium and heavy, so if you’re new to working out, start with an 8lb, 12lb and 20lb set.

    You can access 3 Day Split with a membership to BODi. I recommend getting it with the nutrition program as well.

    Dig Deeper by Shaun T

    Let's start with the sample workout...

    ShaunT rarely disappoints and this new workout is no different. "Dig Deeper" is a weightlifting program with a mindset approach that only ShaunT can deliver. It's a program for all levels, meaning that it’s designed to be intense, but they give you options to dial back the intensity if you’re new to lifting weights.

    While I also thinks this program will be exceptional for weight loss, there is more of a “lift heavy” mentality, so it’s perfect for anyone who LOVES TO LIFT HEAVY. If that’s not you, then skip this workout.what does

    There are 23 workouts in “Dig Deeper” ranging from 25-50 minutes a day. You’ll need a set of dumbbells and an adjustable bench.

    You can access Dig Deeper with the BODi Membership or just buy it on it's own. (I always recommend the full membership as it gives you access to ALL the workouts.

    Chop Wood, Carry Water

    Let's start with the sample workout of Chop Wood, Carry Water...

    This may sound like a weird name for a program, but it’s inspired by a famous saying in Zen Buddhism. “Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water.” So, no matter where you are in your fitness journey, action is required to make and sustain change.

    Amoila’s "Chop Wood, Carry Water" program combines heavy lifting with primal movement to optimize mobility and strength. So you’ll do a mix of standard weight lifting exercises, along with “primal movements” which is like yoga on steroids.

    I actually like this program a lot, and I also think you would get amazing weight loss results from it. I also love that. you have options to choose from 3 different workout programs which are designed for 4, 5 or 6 days a week, depending on your time availability.

    There are 20 workouts overall, each ranging 25-40 minutes a day, and you’ll need a set of dumbbells and a foam roller.

    So of all the programs I’ve mentioned above, I think they are all great contenders for weight loss goals. If you’re new to working out, I’d start with the 3-Day split and then branch out to the other options. You can purchase access to them (along with 2B Mindset) right here.

    2024 BODi Block and Super Block Release Schedule

    Now for my favorite part - BODi's 2024 Blocks and Super Blocks.

    These are the shorter workouts (meaning, 4 weeks total) and I love them because there is much more variety. The other main difference between BODi Blocks and regular programs is that regular programs are geared toward a specific fitness goal (like muscle gains or fat loss). BODi Blocks are designed to be more holistic in nature, and focused more on the periodization method I mentioned above

    A few things to know about BODi Blocks and Super Blocks

    The MIND+BODY blocks are a mixture of workouts that enhance fitness, but also connection to your body. You’ll find workouts like Barre Blend, Pilates, and Yoga among others. But don’t assume they are necessarily easy. They’re challenging, and they happen to be my favorites.

    Super Blocks are just like regular blocks in terms of the workouts, but they come at an additional cost. Not a huge cost, but it’s in addition to your annual membership. But if you don’t want to pay extra, you can just wait until they are all released to the general membership at the end of the year.

    How Do I Start a BODi Block?

    Just choose one and get going! BODi Blocks are released on the first Monday of the month, but you can start whenever you want.

    What's the Difference Between Regular Programs and BODi Blocks?

    Regular programs are structured fitness routines designed around a specific goal or style of training. BODi Blocks, on the other hand, offer a more holistic approach, delivering sustainable and effective workouts based on the science of Block Periodization.

    How to Get Started on a BODi Weight Loss journey in 2024?
