What is Openfit?
Openfit is an online, streaming workout platform. Think Netflix, only instead of shows and movies, it’s individual workouts that you can do in front of your couch (rather than laying on it like a potato). I’ve been doing online fitness programs for the last 15 years and I’ll never stop.
I love online workouts because they’re the easiest way to fit fitness into my busy day, I have all kinds of options to choose from based on how I’m feeling and I don’t have to be perfect with it or look put together. I can literally workout in my underwear if I want (and I have) because I’m doing them in my living room and not in a noisy gym. Online home workouts are also super affordable, so if you’re looking to DIY your fitness - this is your best option.

What I love (and don't love) about Openfit
Pros:
- You can sign up through amazon (this is super convenient)
- You can stream videos via your computer, iPad or phone, or on your TV
- There are five workout programs on the platform, and the signature program is Extend Barre (which is amazing)
Cons:
- It's new, so there are only 5 programs to choose from
- I don't believe you can sync your heart rate to the platform yet, so can't track calories
- Aside from the barre, yoga classes and 600 Seconds, I'm not excited about the other programs (but that's a personal preference)
How much does Openfit Cost?
Right now there’s a 43% sale on the platform, so it’s only $89 for the whole year, but typically it’s $159. There’s also a 6-month and 3-month plan. From a value standpoint, it’s certainly cheaper than going to a live barre or fitness class, and it’s also cheaper than Pure Barre on Demand which is $29 a month, but given that there’s only 5 programs on the platform at this point, it’s still not as much bang for your buck as Beachbody on Demand, which is $99 for literally thousands of workouts. It also doesn’t have the extra bells and whistles that Beachbody on Demand has, like a cooking show, and a way to track your calories being burned with each workout.

Hi Carol, Beachbody might have more selection for you, but Openfit does have some pilaties that you might appreciate.
Kimberly
I did Beachbody in 2017. So much content but also so confusing. When I did a trial run again a few months ago, I kept seeing on the site, "For this other feature, you will have to pay extra." Grr.
I joined Openfit in September of 2020. Still going strong there. The content is not as endless, but there are plenty of additional classes being added weekly. The annual cost I put down after my two week trial also paid for everything - including their live classes.
