Hola friends! I’m coming at you with a super quick and easy Thai turkey meatball recipe that you’re going to LOVE! It’s so tasty and absolutely perfect for meal prep, or a quick, mid-week meal.
What makes Thai turkey meatballs healthy?
Much like my air fryer feta and sun dried tomato meatballs, this recipe doesn’t require any breadcrumbs, making it ideal for low carb, keto and gluten free diets. In fact, all the ingredients are simple and clean. If you’re following the Ultimate Portion Fix, one portion of these meatballs is 1 red container. That’s it!
Why you’ll love them
I love anything Thai inspired, but I don’t love the sugar they add to most of the sauces they cook with. This recipe has no sugar, but a really amazing flavor.
Can you freeze them?
Of course! Simply put them in a well-sealed freezer bag and they’ll stay fresh for up to 3 months. That said, I always like to eat them fresh out of the air fryer.
What if you don’t have an air fryer?
Simply follow the same recipe, but put them on a lined cookie sheet and cook them at 400 for 20 minutes. Personally, I think they’re better in the air fryer because it crisps the outside coating, but use what you have.
Air Fryer Tips
The best advice I can give you is not to overcrowd your air fryer. If you have to cook the meat balls in batches, so be it. They don’t take long to make.
I find that cooking at 400 degrees for 7 minutes, then flipping the turkey meatballs and cooking for another 3 - 5 minutes yields the best results.
What to make with Thai turkey meatballs
I think you could serve them in a curry sauce with greens or riced cauliflower. I prefer to eat them on their own, or dipped in a bang bang sauce.
ARE YOU FOLLOWING THE ULTIMATE FIX PLAN?
- One serving of Thai Turkey Meatballs (approximately 3 balls) is 1 Red container.

Easy Thai Turkey Meatballs in the Air Fryer
A quick and simple Thai-inspired meatball recipe that's on the table in less than 20 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 pound of ground turkey (I used 93%)
- 1/3 cup cilantro
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tsp minced ginger
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp Lime Juice
- 1 Tbsp Curry Paste (green or red)
- 1 tsp red pepper chili flakes
- Pinch of salt and pepper
Instructions
- Mix ingredients in a large bowl.
- Spray the base of your air fryer (or sheet pan) with non-stick spray.
- Create 12 round balls out of the mixture. If you're using an air fryer, make sure they don't touch! You may need to do two batches
- Bake at 400 in an oven for 20 minutes, or air fry at 400 for 12 minutes.
- If air frying, it's best to check on them at minute 7 and move them around a bit so they cook evenly on all sides.
- Let stand for a few minutes after cooking, then serve.
