I was compensated by Wellmune® through Kitchen PLAY for this post.
Today, more than ever, it’s SO important to do whatever we can to keep our immunity strong and our wellness in check. So when Wellmune®, the immune-supporting yeast beta glucan, reached out to collaborate, I said “Heck, yeah!”
If supporting your immune health is something you’re looking for right now (<-yes please!) then Wellmune’s yeast-derived beta glucans are something to check out. One of the best-researched immune supporting wellness ingredients, it helps immune cells find and kill bacteria and viruses that may harm our health. This video can probably explain it better than I can. 🙂
Next-Level Wellness
I talk a lot about creating habits that support next-level wellness. Sleep, hydration, and eating your veggies isn’t rocket science, but it works. The key is doing it DAILY if you want to see results.
The same rules apply for supplementation - so if you’re looking to support your immune system, taking a daily supplement (along with the behaviors I mentioned) will help get you there.
A Daily Serving of Wellmune
Because Wellmune is an ingredient and not a consumer-facing product, you’ll have to look for it on the labels of immune-supporting supplements like Emergen-C Immune Plus and Optimum Nutrition’s Gold Standard Train and Recover BCAAs. You can find just a few of the products that contain Wellmune here.
Vital Proteins (a brand I love) also recently launched an immune boosting drink that packs 250 mgs of Wellmune per serving. I haven’t tried the grape flavored drink yet - but it’s on my list!
What’s the right amount of Wellmune?
I had a chance to chat with some of the Wellmune scientists this past week, and we talked about effective serving size - getting the right amount for the most benefit. Based on research supporting Wellmune’s efficacy, serving size recommendations are 250 mg for an adult and 35 mg – 100 mg for kiddos depending on age and weight. Keep in mind, more is not necessarily better when it comes to supplements.
More Immunity - Less Vulnerability
This year has been one for the books. As I write this post in April 2020, we’re all sequestered in our homes and being asked to wear masks anywhere we go. If there has ever been a time to build a strong, healthy immune system, this is it.
But even beyond our current circumstances, we will always have stressful jobs, travel, kids and everything else that challenges our immune system. That’s why I think a daily serving of Wellmune makes so much sense - it’s safe, natural, well-tested, and effective for immune support. It’s a no-brainer for me.
Get the skinny on Wellmune
There’s more than one variety of beta glucans, but the yeast-derived selection is currently the best-researched and has been shown to have a lot of immune-supporting properties.
