    Muscle Burns Fat - Beachbody’s latest workout (with a sample workout)

    Muscle Burns Fat (or #MBF for short) is Beachbody’s latest workout that has just released. It's the first time Beachbody has ever launched both of their premium nutrition program (for free) with a workout and I couldn't be more excited about it.     Here’s what you need to know

    It’s a 6 week program, split into two separate programs.  The first 3 weeks is called Muscle Burns Fat (#MBF), and it's intended to build toned, lean muscle with a mixture of 25 to 35 minute strength and cardio workouts.  The last 3 weeks is called Muscle Burns Fat Advanced (#MBFA) and it's going to accelerate results with more challenging moves.

    If you’re a fan of 21 Day Fix, you’re going to love this program.  I feel like they’re very similar, only the super trainer Megan Davis has a less pushy, more encouraging style.  I also love the creativity she puts into the moves. 

    You definitely won’t get bored with this program.

    What kind of results can you expect?

    I’ve always said, 21 Day Fix Extreme delivers the best results of ANY at-home fitness program I’ve ever done.  I think this is the first time that bar will get challenged.  This is a program that will tone your muscles, burn fat (as the title suggests), but also increase your strength and energy in a very short time.

    Will #MBF be too hard or too easy for you?

    What’s different about #MBF?

    Unlike with 21 Day Fix (which didn’t have music), this program is set to the beat of the music.  So as the tunes get more intense, so will your moves (so fun!).  If you enjoyed Morning Meltdown 100 for the quality of music, you’re going to love that about this program, too.

    Why Does Muscle Burn Fat?

    This might sound like an odd name for a workout, but it's 100% accurate and relevant to the program. Lean muscle requires more calories at rest than body fat does. So, a 200lb person with 35% body fat will burn a lot less than a 200lb person that's mostly muscle.

    So long story short, the more muscle you have, the more calories you will need to eat to sustain it. Not a bad gig if you can get it.

    How to buy Muscle Burns Fat

    What equipment will you need for this program?

    You’re going to need hand weights (dumbells).  Ideally, a pair of light, medium and heavy.  If you only have one set, that’s fine to start, but I recommend eventually investing in weights.  They’re a great thing to have at home and you can use them for a lot of Beachbody’s other programs.

    You'll also need a jump rope.

    How long are the workouts for Muscle Burns Fat?

    For the beginner program, the workouts are mostly 30 minutes or less. Once you get into the advanced program, the workouts get longer - from 30 to 40 minutes.

    How much does it cost?

    Here in the US it’s $160 which, given that they’re throwing in the free nutrition program, is the best deal they’ve ever offered on a program to date.  This is a promotional rate that won’t last (it’s regularly $180), so snag it while you can.

    What else do you need to know?

    • The nutrition programs are available to you (for free) for the first month.  After that, you will have to pay an additional monthly fee for them (they’re not expensive, but you can drop it if you want),  
    • The entire program including all the extra goodies come with a money-back guarantee.  I rarely see anyone return products, but I think it’s important to call out because I know it’s an investment.  
    • You will get me as your coach.  I’ll be here to answer questions, encourage you and help you stay on track.  This is no additional cost and it can make or break your success.

    Muscle Burns Fat Before & After Results

    Before Beachbody releases any new program, they always do a test group so they can generate some results for marketing purposes. I always like to remind my readers that these guys not only followed the workouts, but they also followed the nutrition plan.

    I say this because often we think we can use a workout to fix a bad diet. Friends, that never works.

    If you do this program, commit to the nutrition side as well. You'll get more support and guidance than you can possibly imagine, so do be concerned that you can't do it. You can. You just need to decide to do it and you will.
