If you’ve ever had a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection), then you know how painful they can be and how annoying and costly they are to treat (<-$200 on average). If this is something you deal with, you’re in good company. Today I’m sharing the preventative steps I’ve been taking lately to put an end to my UTIs for good.

I started getting UTIs at a pretty young age (about 20) and since then they’ve been a regular occurrence in my life. I can’t tell you how many prescription antibiotics I’ve had to take to cure yet another infection (<-this also became the start of some pretty messed-up gut issues).
If you’re prone to UTIs, you know what I’m talking about. The pain and discomfort are often unbearable, and getting relief from a prescription can’t come fast enough once the first pang of discomfort appears.
I would do anything not to have this ongoing fear of when the next infection might come. I even get travel anxiety because the idea of being in a foreign country without access to antibiotics terrifies me.
This never-ending cycle of chronic UTIs has left me feeling as though my body has somehow failed me. Why is this something I must deal with over and over again?

The only recourse I’ve had until now, is to rely on an ongoing prescription for antibiotics, but that has come at a serious health cost. Not only am I now resistant to sulfa-based antibiotics, I had to deal with a host of digestion issues as well. Looking back, I regret that decision, but I didn't feel like I had an alternative because the UTIs just kept coming back.
Four months ago, I was introduced to a brand of medical-grade non-prescription supplements that help prevent the onset of UTIs, and I immediately needed to know more. This is not just another cranberry supplement, but a path to prevention - something I wish I had access to a long time ago!
I can’t help but think that if I had a preventative solution, I wouldn’t have so many gut issues as a result of the constant antibiotics. I could have had my life back a lot sooner.

Enter ellura
As I mentioned, ellura is a non-prescription, medical-grade supplement for urinary tract health.
It’s a daily dose of prevention - not a treatment. As someone who values health above everything else, this is so near and dear to me. I’d much rather take a safe and effective prevention than ever having to end up in my doctor’s waiting room again – doubled over in pain.

It’s also worth noting that unlike other products on the market, ellura can help stop UTIs before they start, thanks to a powerful natural ingredient - proanthocyanidins (PAC). ellura has the most potent PAC made from pure cranberry juice extract.
The powerful PAC in ellura attach to UTI-causing bacteria so they can’t attach to you. Instead, the bad bacteria are flushed out with your urine. It’s naturally sourced, extensively researched, and has no known side effects. (Head’s up - If you have a red fruit allergy, please consult your doctor before you start.)
Also, I didn’t realize this, but most store-bought cranberry supplements have less than 36 mg PAC even if they claim to have that much, and many don't even include PAC on their labels. They’re also made with sugar, which is not ideal for sensitive bladders. I cannot tell you how much money I’ve spent stocking up on cranberry juice and extracts, in anticipation of the next infection.
Now I know better.

Sorry to get so personal on you guys today, but I feel like this was a story (and a solution) worth sharing. Chronic UTIs are something that we can all get control of now, and that’s something I’m so incredibly grateful for.
I’ve missed trips, fitness classes and days at work because of UTIs – but no longer!
