    10 Rounds by Joel Freeman + Beachbody: Snag a Sample Workout

    10 Rounds is the latest at-home workout made by Beachbody, the market leader in home fitness programs. The official release date is April 6, 2020, but today I’m sharing a free sample of the workout and all the details you need to order, if you decide if it’s the right workout for you.

    Who will love this program?

    This is great workout for anyone looking for a sweaty, fun combination of kickboxing cardio and strength training. If you’re someone who wants a total body transformation - meaning fat loss and muscle building - you’re going to find that in 10 Rounds.

    Each boxing workout is broken into 10 three-minute rounds of zero-impact boxing, so it’s easy on the joints while still being challenging enough to get results.

    It’s based on an intermediate level of fitness, but as always, there’s always a newbie fitness instructor in the video you can follow along with.

    Fun Fact: The program was filmed in iconic venues across 6 cities in the US, so it keeps the scenery fresh and interesting as the program gets more intense ????

    The Skinny on Joel Freeman, Creator of 10 Rounds

    This is the third program Joel Freeman has produced with Beachbody. His first program - Core de Force, was inspired by mixed martial arts, so while not exactly the same as boxing, it has a lot of similar, but less complicated moves.

    Lift4, Joel’s second program was a split of HIIT workouts and lifting, designed to give you the same body transformation effect that this work out will provide.  I got great results from Lift 4, and I expect the same from this program!

    In addition to being a Super Trainer for Beachbody for several years, he is also an NASM certified fitness trainer with over 15 years experience in the fitness industry.

    You can see by his own results that he walks his own talk.

    I like Joel’s fitness philosophy that more is not necessarily better. While some Beachbody programs require some activity 7-days a week, Joel is a big believer in taking a few active rest days to give your body and mind a little recess break 🙂

    10 Rounds Workout Breakdown (and sample workout calendar)

    • Program length: 6 weeks
    • Workouts per week: 5 (3 days of cardio boxing and 2 days of lifting)
    • Total number of unique workouts: 30 (plus 2 prep workouts)
    • Equipment needed: A light, medium and heavy set of hand weights and a 12 inch workout band. Unless you’re a serious strength training, I think you’d be fine with a set of 5lb, 10lb, and 15lb dumbbells. Or better yet, buy a set that offers adjustable weights.

    How much is 10 Rounds?

    The retail price for the program is $180 US, but the promotional price for the launch is $160 US. This includes 30 days of pre-and post workout supplements, which really help you accelerate results and feel less achy.

    However, if you’re not a fan of supplements, you can buy Beachbody On Demand for $99 + the early access fee but it works out to be the same cost, so why not get the supplements at no extra cost!

    Early Results from the 10 Rounds Test Group!

    Before Beachbody releases any new program, they invite a test group to go through the workouts to ensure it’s user-friendly and that it produces the expected results. The important thing to know about these groups is that they are following the meal plan and the workout program.

    That’s why they get the amazing results you see here.

    I point this out because very often, folks have unrealistic expectations of what a program can do for them while they’re still eating Cheetos and Ding Dongs. The reality is that eating a real food diet that allows for an occasional treat, combined with a balanced workout program (like this one) will give you the best results.
